Berniece Sears Eggers

October 26, 1928 – August 7, 2022

Berniece Sears Eggers, 93, of Westfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 7, 2022.

She was born on October 26, 1928 in Pulaski County, KY, the youngest of seven children, to Belia and Katie (Bradley) Sears.

At the age of 27, Mrs. Eggers began her career with Lotus Gardens Restaurant, Indianapolis location, where she served as Hostess Manager for 35 years. She was appreciated and loved by the many patrons through the years because of her warm and friendly personality. She and her husband Bob became family to the Yee family, spending many holidays and special events together.

Mrs. Eggers enjoyed cooking and produced many delicious dishes from her favorite recipes. She was also gifted in decorating her home and arranging beautiful flowers. One of the greatest qualities she possessed was her kindness, love of people, and never speaking an unkind word about anyone.

She is survived by her family friend Jenny Yee; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years Robert ‘Bob’ Eggers; three sisters Genieve, Gertie and Imogene; and three brothers Vic, Jesse and Kenneth.

Family and friends are scheduled to gather on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Trinity Baptist Church of Westfield, of which Mrs. Eggers was a longtime member, and where the Funeral Service is scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. noon.

A Committal Service is scheduled to follow in Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery.
