Keep Fishers Beautiful Returns Next Month

Keep Fishers Beautiful (KFB) returns next month with a weeklong celebration of volunteerism and sustainability from Oct. 1 through 8.

The celebration kicks off with Fall City Recycling Day at Billericay Park on Oct. 1, and continues throughout the week with volunteer opportunities for residents of all ages to beautify their community and neighborhood this fall.

The lineup includes:

City Recycling Day:

Oct. 1 from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. 

The popular City Recycling Day event returns this fall at Billericay Park. Residents can recycle electronics, household items, hazardous wastes, and more at this free recycling event. Holland Park Helpers:

Oct. 1 from 9–11 a.m.

Geist Waterfront Park Weed Wrangler:

Oct. 1 from 9–11 a.m.

We’ve been busy putting the final touches on the Geist Waterfront Park before it opens next spring, and we need your help beautifying the beach! Nickel Plate Trail Planting:

HSE & Fishers High School Trash Tacklers:

Oct. 1 & 8 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.

Support our local high schools at this volunteer event ideal for families and students. Stroll the grounds of Fishers High School and Hamilton Southeastern High School to collect trash and debris and beautify the HSE softball fields with new mulch for fall. Cyntheanne Park Weed Wrangler:

Oct. 6 from 5:30-7 p.m.

Fishers AgriPark Helper:

Oct. 6 from 5-7 p.m.

It’s fall on the farm and Fishers Parks needs your help getting the Fishers AgriPark ready for the winter. Billericay Park Cleanup:

Neighborhood Cleanup Kits:

Fishers neighborhoods are encouraged to beautify their common spaces and facades for fall with the Neighborhood Cleanup Kit program, which offers local neighborhoods cleanup supplies and the use of a 20-yard dumpster free of charge. Compost Tumbler & Rain Barrel Program:
