Monica Anne Patterson
August 18, 1981-October 19, 2022
Monica Anne Patterson, 41, of Cicero, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2022, at IU Health University Hospital.
She was born on Aug. 18, 1981, to Mark and Cynthia (Dugger) Holliday in Langley, VA.
Mrs. Patterson graduated from Westfield High School. She was a caregiver, a wife, and a mother.
She was an angel here on Earth. Even as a child, she was quick to comfort and encourage others and would find joy in making them laugh. Mrs. Patterson wanted people to see themselves as she saw them. Perfectly imperfect. Beautifully human. Deserving of love just as they were… Unconditionally. There was no human being or animal she met that she didn’t try to love with all she had. Mrs. Patterson dedicated her life to caring for others and would give, in any way, to make sure someone felt seen, loved and heard. She was a spark of laughter and a heartfelt hug. She knew somehow exactly what needed to be said or when to just sit in silence with you. Mrs. Patterson was a place of shelter and she was the Sun. She was the wise old soul and the joyous youth. She poured out her love into every little thing, because she knew the little things mattered the very most.
Survivors include her husband Steven Patterson; four children, Austin, Aidan, Aliyah and Avery; father Mark; four siblings (and siblings-in-love), Michael Haskett, Natalie (Jamey) Tolley, Melody (Allan) Carr and Nicholas (Savannah) Holliday; seven nieces and nephews Laney Tolley, Lucas Tolley, Logan Tolley, Emma Perry, Sayla Carr, Brynna Carr and Nathan Holliday; grandmother Mary Joan McVey; the Patterson and Pharis Families, the McMullan and Dugger Families, the Haskett Family; and the countless human beings who were blessed to know Mrs. Patterson and were loved by her.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Please join Mrs. Patterson’s family in celebrating the gift of her life. Visitation is scheduled to be held from 4-7 p.m., with services scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville.
