Attorney Joe Duepner Announces Run for Westfield City Council

Joe Duepner

Joe Duepner, attorney and long-time Westfield resident, will run as a Republican for Westfield City Council, District 3 in the May 2023 Primary election.

Growing up as a Westfield middle and high school school student, Duepner has had the opportunity to see Westfield change and grow over the years.

“Growth is inevitable for Westfield. It’s time to start proactively planning for it. I want all families to have an ample amount of opportunities and options to have fun together. Whether it’s a lively downtown with independent restaurants or more connectivity throughout the city, it’s time,” said Duepner.

Duepner’s campaign will focus on making conservative financial decisions around smart growth, and an infrastructure that supports it. Bringing down the taxes will be a key first step in diversifying the current tax base.

With downtown Westfield being in Duepner’s district, he foresees downtown having its own unique personality and amenities. Duepner believes downtown has the potential for being a desirable entertainment district.

Duepner is a licensed Indiana attorney and entrepreneur, starting his business ten years ago. Duepner Law LLC practice focuses on personal injury, family, criminal and estate and probate matters. Duepner’s success as an attorney has arisen from becoming deeply ingrained in his client’s stories and his passion for learning about new things.

Duepner is driven, and prides himself on his follow-through and dedication he provides to clients. ”I see myself applying these characteristics to the Westfield City Council too. I’m ready to solve challenges for Westfield residents and be there when they need me most,” said Duepner.

Currently, Duepner serves on the Westfield Youth Sports Inc. (WYSI) board of directors that serves over 3000 Westfield children. He is also on the Villages of Oak Manor HOA board and has served on other boards in the past.

The Duepner family enjoys traveling, sports and outdoor activities. Duepner’s wife, Adrienne, is a Ophthalmology Technician, and together, they have two children — daughter Dylan, 14, attends Westfield High School and son, Ty, 8, attends Washington Woods elementary.
