Hazel Dell Students Raise $ For Turkey Earthquake Victims

Hazel Dell students (L-R) Yusuf Buyuktas and Mason Doerr used this past weekend’s basketball rivalry to help those experiencing hardship from Turkey’s recent earthquakes. Hazel Dell students donated money last week in support of IU or Purdue, with all funds going to Red Cross disaster relief in Turkey. While IU won the basketball game, Purdue fans came out on top for fundraising, which totaled over $900. Buyuktas relocated to Noblesville last year from Turkey.
