NFD Responds to Residence Fire

Fire and EMS units were dispatched by the Hamilton County Dispatch Center. Upon arrival, crews could see large amounts of smoke emanating from the upstairs bedroom window. Shortly after 8:40pm on Monday, July 10th, a resident of 6055 Mill Oak Drive noticed smoke coming from the garage. The homeowner was able to safely exit the house and call 911. Crews were able to quickly enter the home and locate the seat of the fire. The fire was marked under control a short time later. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. NFD was assisted by the Noblesville Police Department. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. NFD would like to remind residents to sleep with their bedroom doors closed. Sleeping with your door closed can reduce exposure to toxic smoke and help limit the spread of flames.
