Smile

What makes Fulton Mraz smile? “I’m a Special Olympics (gold medal winner) for the 100-meter dash,” said the 24-year-old Cicero resident. “I have autism,” said the 2018 graduate of Hamilton Heights High School. “Right now, we’re focusing on helping other people and trying to do entertainment for other people … like singing and writing some songs.” He loves to entertain. He was found in July at the Hamilton County 4-H Fair, sporting dark sunglasses and a black T-shirt printed with “Subscribe” to his YouTube channel, “Mr. Fulton Mraz,” for which he has more than 2,000 subscribers. Earlier this year, he competed in Noblesville’s Got Talent in downtown Noblesville and Cicero’s Got Talent. He also competed a previous year at the 4-H Youth Talent Show during the Hamilton County 4-H Fair. He is the son of Emily and Tony Mraz. What else? “I have a job at Texas Roadhouse …. in Carmel … I do the silverware.” His mom takes him to work. “After high school, I looked for opportunities to volunteer and after that I went to college … at Limitless (Transition Program) for special needs … It helps people get jobs and opportunities.” The most fun activity at the Fair? “Meeting a lot of people and having fun.” He was watching the Swine Show, watching for his friend, Liam, from his neighborhood. He said, “This perfect day makes me smile.” Look for Hamilton County 4-H Fair results in a special online section in upcoming editions this month in The Times.
