Travel to the countryside to hear live music with Jennifer Mlott at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Spencer Farm Winery in Noblesville. She’ll also perform 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Urban Vines in Westfield.

There are only 11 more days in October with many fall and Halloween activities in and around Noblesville. So here’s The Times’ list of 30 things to do this weekend and beyond:

  1. A local fiction and suspense-writing event at Barnes and Noble in Carmel at 10 a.m. today features Rhonda Parker Taylor of Noblesville, author of “Crossroads,” and Claire Picket Isenthal, author of “Rising Order.” Event includes discussion and book signing.
  2. Explore nature and history in new ways in 1836 Prairietown as the outdoor areas are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, during the 2023 season.  Tickets are available for the 40th anniversary of Headless Horseman outdoor Halloween program every Thursday through Sunday, through Oct. 29 at Conner Prairie in Fishers. Take the haunted hayride to see the Headless Horseman, stroll the Trail of Terror in the corn field, enjoy the Magnificent Midway, Barrel Train Rides, Sleepy Hollow Marionette Show, fortune telling, live music performances, magic show, food, and more. Apple Store is open all month. Reserve hayride times and buy admission tickets in advance at connerprairie.org.
  3. Take a hayride to the pumpkin patch at Russell Farms in Noblesville, open daily through Oct. 31 also with corn maze, petting zoo, miniature golf, kids activities, bounce houses, pedal tractors, country store and more. Admission is $12.50-$15. For schedule, visit https://www.russell-farms.com
  4. Travel to the countryside to hear live music with Benjamin Watson at 6:30 p.m. today, Jennifer Mlott at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nora Reese at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27, Jeff Day at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at Spencer Farm Winery in Noblesville. Visit spencerfarmwinery.com.

  8. Hop aboard the Nickel Plate Express for an array of excursions, including to the Arcadia Fall Market 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Remnant in Arcadia, with many vendors. Plus BBQ express and Reindeer Express coming up.
  9. Celebrate Halloween at the annual family-friend and pet-friendly Boo ‘n’ Brew Fall Festival from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Clay Terrace in Carmel. Trick-or-treating at 2 p.m., live bands Stella Luna & the Satellites at 2 p.m. and Toy Factory at 4 p.m., horse-drawn hayrides at 2:30 p.m., beer garden, Silly Safari animal shows at 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., pet costume contest at 3 p.m., pumpkin patch, aerialists, pet zone and more.
  10. Central Indiana Vintage Vehicles car club invites car buffs to show off their vintage vehicles on the Courthouse Square during the weekly Saturday afternoon and evening Cruise-in. Lawn chairs and old-car conversations invited,
  11. Shop the Autumn Alley Art Market from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday on the Noblesville Square, featuring painters, illustrators, makers, seamstresses, bakers, candle makers, ceramicists, authors, independent librarians, nurseries and others without storefronts.
  12. Enjoy live music featuring Jeff Brown on Saturday, Disagreeable on Oct. 28 and Nov. 4, Craig Thurston on Nov. 2 at Grindstone Public House in Noblesville.
  13. Halloween trick-or treating is Saturday at Hamilton County Parks & Recreation’s White River Campground in Noblesville.
  14. Shop with local painters, illustrators, makers, seamstresses, bakers, candle makers, ceramicists, authors and others without storefronts during Autumn Alley Art Market from 5-9 p.m. Saturday at Noblesville Square.
  15. Attend the annual Halloween Kids Night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at Noblesville Jim Dandy, with a coloring contest, face painting and kids activities.
  16. Bring canned food donations and enjoy crafts, games, story and treats during a “Trick or Eat” Halloween Food Drive from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Delaware Township Trustee Office in Fishers. Dress in costume. All ages welcome.
  17. Join Carmel Runners Club Halloween Run and Walk at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Bier Brewery Carmel, plus vote on various runs or walks.
  18. Test your Halloween knowledge during Halloween Trivia night at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Pinheads and Alley’s Alehouse in Fishers, with prizes to win and free to play.
  19. Shop at the Noblesville Flower Market, presented by Indiana Peony Festival and sponsored by Keep Noblesville Beautiful, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the last Thursday of the month, Oct. 26 and Nov. 30, in the east alley of downtown Noblesville.
  20. Dare to take the fourth annual Cicero Haunted Trail on Oct. 27 and 28 at Red Bridge Park, with kid-friendly hours 4:30-7:15 p.m. and frightening hours 7:30-10 p.m. All proceeds benefit Cicero Parks. Seeing sponsors.
  21. Enjoy Halloween Trunk or Treat at 5 p.m. Oct. 27 at Heritage Woods of Noblesville.
  22. Ultimate Halloween Hits aficionados will want to attend Halloween Music Bingo at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at Pinheads and Alley’s Alehouse in Fishers. Prizes to win and free to play, with all ages welcome.
  23. Dare to take the fourth annual Cicero Haunted Trail on Oct. 27 and 28 at Red Bridge Park, with kid-friendly hours 4:30-7:15 p.m. and frightening hours 7:30-10 p.m. All proceeds benefit Cicero Parks.
  24. Board the Nickel Plate Express for Trick or Treat on the Rails vintage 1956 train at 2 p.m. Oct. 28. Embark on a 65-minute journey down the historic Nickel Plate Road while dressed in your Halloween costume. Children can collect candy from a few special characters during the ride.   25. Celebrate Hallloween 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 28, at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater during a Boo Bash with live music and entertainment, food trucks, games and activities for kids. Costumes encouraged.
  26. Wayne-Fall Lions Club invites the community to attend a Ham & Bean Dinner 4:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Club, at Deshane Ave., and Victory Chapel, featuring ham and beans, cornbread, cole slaw, desserts and drinks and hot dogs, all for a donation for Lions Club Christmas for families in this area who need assistance.
  27. Visit Noblesville High School Theatre’s Trunk or Treat night 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 28 in the parking lot at Noblesville High School.
  28. Several local musicians will perform their favorite murder ballads for your Halloween enjoyment when Noblesville Preservation Alliance presents “Murder in Noblesville” at 7 p.m. Oct. 28 at NPA’s Preservation Hall. Musicians include: John Gilmore, Gary Wasson, Mike Stewart, Molly Milton, Jamie Dumas, Tim Fike, Zoe Majors and Steve VandeWater. Tickets are $10 at the door or online at preservationhall.org
  29. Noblesville American Legion Riders Post 45 invites community to its third annual trunk-or-treat 5:30-8 p.m. Oct. 31 in the parking lot of the new Legion at 273 S. 8th St., Noblesville. Community invited to check out the Legion’s new building. The Legion always has plenty of candy leftover that the Legion sends to troops via the Noblesville Police Department. The kids always enjoy trunk or treating with the motorcycles.  Public welcome.
  30. Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission presents the final show in a Vintage Film Series in The Lacy Arts Building, “The Shock,” Oct. 28, with complimentary popcorn and beverages.
