Noblesville Man Found in Retention Pond

A 35-year-old Noblesville man was found in a retention pond last Friday.

Zachery R. Polson was pronounced dead at Riverview Health after police officers and firefighters pulled him from the pond in the area of Windwood Parkway and Hague Road.

According to Noblesville Police, both police and fire got a 911 call at 4:01 p.m. Friday of a man standing on top of the retention pond’s water fountain. The caller stated that the man then jumped in the water and never resurfaced.

Officers and firefighters arrived on the scene a short time later and began searching. A diver from the fire department found Polson submerged near the fountain. Emergency personnel began resuscitation efforts and he was rushed to Riverview in critical condition. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

The cause of death will be determined by the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office.
