Galentine’s Rebel Brunch: Celebrating Rebels, Supporting Women’s History

Gal’s Guide Library, the first women’s history lending library in the United States, invites you to its annual Galentine’s Rebel Brunch on Sunday, Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Osprey Pointe Pavilion (19777 Morse Park Lane, Noblesville, IN 46062).

This year’s event, themed “Rebel Gals,” is open to all ages but designed with an adult focus. Tickets are $45 per person and include an array of exciting features:

  • Mimosa Bar
  • Brunch Grazing Table
  • Mantra Wheel
  • Squad Selfie Spot
  • Rebel-Themed Gift Bag
  • “Importance of Rebels” Presentation
  • Meet a New Rebel Friend (or Squad)

Dr. Leah “Riwo” Leach, Founder and Executive Director of Gal’s Guide Library, returns with a brand-new empowering talk that blends her passion for women’s history and Star Wars. Building on the momentum of last year’s standing ovation, Riwo will explore the transformative power of rebels in shaping our world, inspired by Rose Tico’s unforgettable words in The Last Jedi: “We’re going to win this war not by fighting what we hate, but saving what we love!”

Leach is a trailblazer in preserving and promoting women’s history. Under her leadership, Gal’s Guide Library has received Congressional Recognition and was named 2022 Organization of the Year by Advancing Noblesville. Riwo is a celebrated writer, filmmaker, and podcaster with multiple honorary doctorates. In 2024, she was awarded Artist Leader of the Year by Noblesville Creates. Her creative storytelling has redefined how history is shared and celebrated.

Galentine’s Day originates from the TV show Parks and Recreation, in which Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) famously reserved the day before Valentine’s Day for “ladies celebrating ladies, breakfast style.” Gal’s Guide takes this concept to the next level, combining fun, empowerment, and fundraising for an unforgettable experience.

Celebrate the rebel spirit while supporting the Gal’s Guide Library’s mission to preserve women’s history. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased at www.galsguide.org.

Don’t miss this inspiring event filled with mimosas, meaningful connections, and a celebration of remarkable women who change the world!
