It may be a new year, but there’s not going to be anything new about seeing orange barrels, traffic cones and construction.

This is Noblesville and Hamilton County – and while we continue to proudly be one of the fastest growing places in the state (as well as one of the best places to live) – the cost for that includes road construction.

And of course, those who live in or around Pleasant Street – or travel that way – are used to the hassles that come along with improvements.

So get ready for the next phase!

The Reimagine Pleasant Street project announced that around Jan. 13, Pleasant Street will be closed to through traffic between 13th Street and 16th Street. The closure will last until Phase 2 is complete in early 2026.

The closure is necessary to reconstruct and widen Pleasant Street to four lanes and includes replacement of the bridge over Wilson Drain.

On a good side, residents and businesses will not lose access to their property throughout construction.

In the meantime, 2026 isn’t THAT far away!
