Charles Robert “Bob” LaFollette

Charles Robert “Bob” LaFollette, 82, of Noblesville, was received in Heaven on Monday, February 10, 2025 in Noblesville. He was born on March 17, 1942, in Lincoln, Illinois, the son of the late Ivan J. and Mary E. (Tucker) LaFollette.
Bob graduated from Frankfort High School in 1959. He then went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Kokomo in liberal studies in 1983. Bob retired from Delco/Delphi Electronics after over 41 years of service working as a tool & die/mold maker. He previously worked for First National Bank in Kokomo, and delivered agricultural and farm fuels for Standard Oil. Bob was strongly committed to his Christian faith and served in multiple leadership roles within the church. He always reminded those whom he touched that “God takes care of His people!”. He was an Eagle Scout, enjoyed performance cars and was a Corvette enthusiast. Bob dedicated years of service umpiring local Little League, Babe Ruth, and high school baseball games and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan. He was a notorious “birthday aficionado” to and for family and friends alike. Bob adored spending time with all of his family, but especially all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved to play tennis and was a member of the Carmel Racquet Club, where he had yet another “family” of friends.
Bob is survived by his children, Mike (Kim) LaFollette, Robin (Rob) McGreevy, David LaFollette, Tammy (Dean) Montel, and Loann (Mike) Burke; grandchildren, Austin LaFollette, Kiersten (Colburn) Lambert, Cammie (Ben) Lawton, Zac (Mikayla) McGreevy, Sarabeth LaFollette, Andrew (Jessica) Vendl, Hunter Montel, Bryce Montel, Kaley Montel, Sean (Jenn) Burke, Tyler (Hailey) Burke, Evan (Devin) Burke, and Jenna Burke; great-grandchildren, Maveryk Lambert, Kolt Lambert, Hunter Lambert, Theo Vendl, Riley Burke, Parker Burke, Grant Burke, and Collin Burke; sister, Kathy (Bill) Schmidt; brothers, Paul (Diane) LaFollette, and John LaFollette; and foreign exchange student, Mia Kuntsi.
Along with his parents, Ivan J. and Mary E. LaFollette; Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Karen Colbert.
A funeral service celebrating Bob’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Road Kokomo, Indiana, with Pastor Greg Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Galveston Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana University Kokomo.
