The HHMS Business Leaders program recently wrapped up a series of three immersive field trips, providing 77 eighth-grade students with behind-the-scenes exposure to 10 area businesses. These experiences gave students a first-hand look at different industries, from advanced manufacturing to food service and agriculture.
During each visit, business representatives shared key aspects of their operations and presented students with real-world challenges they currently face. Students will be put into groups of 4-5 based on their interest in each organization. Then, equipped with industry knowledge and fresh perspectives, students will collaborate to develop innovative solutions. In May, they will present their findings to business leaders, showcasing their problem-solving and leadership skills.
These invaluable experiences were made possible by the dedication of HHMS staff and bus drivers, who worked tirelessly to make these trips possible for students. A huge thank you to our business partners – Arrow McLaren Indy Car Team, Chick-Fil-A (Westfield), Dark Side Roasters, Heuer Homes, LCJ Photo & Film, RE/MAX Edge, Remnant, Reynolds Farm Equipment, Ryan Fire Protection, and Will Power Excavation & Bulldozing for investing in the next generation of leaders!
