Melt the Trail 5K returns March 1
Westfield Welcome’s 11th annual Melt the Trail 5K, presented by The Farmers Bank, returns on Saturday, March 1, at 10:30 a.m. at Grand Junction Brewing Company.
“Melt the Trail is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate health, wellness and healthy competition,” said Westfield Mayor Scott Willis. “Whether you’re running, walking, or volunteering, Melt the Trail is a great way to connect with neighbors and explore our trails.”
The 5K through Westfield’s award-winning trail system will kick off at Grand Junction Brewing Company. After the race, participants are invited to attend the Grand Junction Brewing Company afterparty, where they can purchase food, enjoy music, and play arcade games. Children and leashed dogs are welcome to join.
The race registration fee is $40 and includes a long-sleeve race shirt, a finisher’s medal, post-race snacks and drinks, one free drink ticket (21+), a timed route, and a chance to win awards. The registration fee will increase to $45 on Feb. 24 and to $50 on March 1. Participants must register by Feb.11 to guarantee receiving a long-sleeve race shirt.
