No Injuries Reported in Noblesville House Fire

All’s well that ends well after Noblesville Fire Department units responded to a report of a potential residential fire last week.

NFD first responders were called to a residence in the 19000 block of Mallory Road Wednesday night around 11. The resident had discovered the fire when a smoke alarm sounded, alerting her to the danger. She tried using a fire extinguisher and fire blanket before realizing the fire was too large. She then wisely called 911 for assistance.

Firefighters quickly located and isolated the fire to the screened-in porch at the rear of the home. A thorough search of the house ensured that no other areas were affected, and the resident’s dog was safely located and removed from the home. Fortunately, there were no injuries to civilians, firefighters, or pets. The Noblesville Police Department and Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department assisted NFD during the response. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The fire serves as a crucial reminder of the importance of working smoke detectors in every home. NFD encourages all residents to ensure their smoke alarms are properly installed and functioning.
