Tipton Deputy OK After Collision

A Tipton County Sheriff Deputy was slightly injured after a collision with a suspected drunk driver.
According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Tipton County Deputy Sgt. Dylan Vetor was traveling west on State Road 28 Sunday just before 4 a.m. Sunday when a second vehicle, traveling north on CR725 West, disregarded a stop sign, resulting in a collision at the intersection. Vetor sustained minor injuries and was transported to IU Tipton for medical evaluation. He has since been treated and released.
Police report that the occupants of the second vehicle appeared to be intoxicated and were uncooperative with law enforcement. Both individuals denied being the driver and search warrants were obtained for blood draws of both occupants. Their vehicle was transported to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for further processing, while the deputy’s vehicle was towed to Miller’s for additional investigation.
Following the execution of the search warrants, the occupants were released pending further investigation.
