3 Indiana Governors to Speak in Noblesville
Three former Indiana governors will visit Noblesville June 12, thanks to the Voices of Leadership Luncheon from OneZone Chamber.
Mike Pence, Mitch Daniels and Eric Holcomb highlight the special Voices of Leadership Luncheon, presented by Bondry Consulting at Embassy Suites. The event will feature a rare and insightful conversation with three distinguished leaders who have each served as governor of Indiana. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to hear lessons on leadership, economic growth and community development, while networking with fellow professionals.
About the Speakers:
- Eric J. Holcomb, the 51st Governor of the State of Indiana, is a lifelong Hoosier. He was born in Indianapolis, graduated from Pike High School and Hanover College and went on to serve six years active duty in the U.S. Navy. He was first stationed at Naval Station Great Lakes and later at Naval Air Station Cecil Field Florida and then overseas at CINCIBERLANT NATO Command in Portugal. Holcomb recently finished serving his second term as governor having been elected in 2016 and 2020 when he received the most votes for governor in Indiana history.
- Mitch Danielsserved as a two-term governor of the state of Indiana from 2004 to 2012 and as the 12th president of Purdue University from 2013 to 2022. He currently serves as a Distinguished Scholar and Senior Advisor at the Liberty Fund. He was elected governor in his first bid for any elected office and then re-elected with more votes at that time than any candidate in the state’s history. At Purdue, Daniels prioritized student affordability and reinvestment in the university’s strengths. He ended 36 straight years of rising prices by freezing tuition and mandatory fees at 2012 levels for all students. That freeze is still in place today. As a result, the total cost of attendance is lower today than in 2012, even without adjusting for inflation and aggregate student borrowing has declined 37 percent.
- Mike Pence was born in Columbus, Ind. on June 7, 1959, into a family that epitomized the American Dream, instilling in him values of hard work, faith, and family. After graduating from Hanover College and Indiana University School of Law, he embarked on a multifaceted career, including law practice, talk radio, serving as a congressman for six terms and championing limited government and fiscal responsibility. Pence then was elected the 50th governor of Indiana, focusing on tax cuts, job creation, education reform and infrastructure investment while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
