God Listens! Parts One and Two

God Listens! Part One

We should never underestimate God. That’s what the disciples were doing in the boat. They underestimated God. ‘Wake up Jesus! We’re all going to die.’ They failed to realize the power of God was in the boat with them.

We’re going to face many occasions in this life when we will be tempted to underestimate God; to think he can’t do anything, that something is beyond his power. We should not underestimate God. He is able to do far more than we could ever imagine.”

1 John 5: 14-15 (NLT)

14And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.15And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.”

Received text from Granddaughter, Madison, with this picture. She is a Junior now taking finals at Rhodes College in Memphis and said this was on her desk as she worked and asked for prayers.

(And I told her) I also notice in the picture you sent a shape of a cross just above you and Grandpa Joe’s head in the window. You are both blessed!

Then I recorded and sent this little prayer to her.

Granddaughter texts back: “That made me tear up!! I will keep this forever. Also right as you were sending this, I got an email from one of my professors saying that I already have an A, so I don’t have to complete the final (which I was very worried about). Thank you GB & Jesus for looking out for me”

😊 God listens! God moves! What a powerful, almighty God we have!

God Listens! God Moves! Part Two

Another Instant Miracle and Prayers Answered!

Prayer Request sent to church prayer team on 5.3.20 at 8:08 AM

Please pray for a friend, Sandy G., RN, who is suffering from COVID-19. She traveled to Alabama for a recent nursing assignment there and is on a ventilator now.

Sandy was my mentor when I began my current position 12 years ago and is a young 66, like me.

Sandy, we are praying for your comfort and peace through the love and gentle mercies of our great Lord, Jesus! We pray for your family in Pennsylvania, too, as their hearts are in anguish and broken. Jesus, we know You are with them. Please place Your healing hands on their hearts right now and help them through this trial.

Thank you,

(Bonnie Z.)

At 8:08 this morning, I sent the prayer request to our mighty Prayer Warrior Team—

At 9:01 this morning while attending virtual services with Community of Faith, I received the following message about Sandy—

Sue S. just emailed me. Sandy is out of ICU and off vent. She is recovering. It is a miracle she is doing so much better. She should be going home soon. Her son talked to her. She is on a (medical) floor and should be going home soon.

Praise God! Thank you, Prayer Warrior friends! Sweet Jesus, thank you! I am overwhelmed and humbly grateful!
