Local students gain recognition at respective colleges
University of Maryland Global Campus
Riley Webb of Noblesville was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester at University of Maryland Global Campus. To be eligible for the honor, a student must complete at least six credits during the term, earned a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the term, and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 at UMGC.

Biola University
Biola University was excited to welcome Lillian Vannoy of Carmel, IN to the Biola community as they started their journey as an Eagle this fall. Biola’s incoming class represented an accomplished, diverse group of individuals who hailed from 41 states and U.S. territories and 44 countries around the world. A total of 842 undergraduate and graduate students started their collegiate journey at Biola University on the first day of classes on Monday, Aug. 30 and finished their first semester on Friday, Dec. 17.
Biola students attended classes and lived in residence halls on campus this fall, which was an exciting arrival since there had not been an entire student body on campus for almost 18 months.
Biola is proud of Vannoy and their commitment to reach their goal of obtaining an undergraduate degree after enduring months of school online and the uncertainties of the pandemic.

Colgate University
Katherine Hand, a member of the Colgate University Class of 2023, has earned the spring 2021 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.
Hand is a Psychological Science major and a graduate of Westfield-Washington High Sch, from Westfield, IN (46074).
Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses earn the spring 2021 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.

Milwaukee School of Engineering
Milwaukee School of Engineering congratulates students named to the Fall Quarter 2021 Dean’s List.
Ethan Hindes, from Noblesville, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Dean’s List for the 2021 Fall Quarter. Hindes is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
Nicole Ratts, from Fortville, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Dean’s List with High Honors for the 2021 Fall Quarter. Ratts is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering.
Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) are on the Dean’s List. Students who have maintained a 3.70 or higher receive “High Honors.”
