Noblesville Fire Department’s annual Pancake Breakfast is Saturday, Noblesville Shakespeare in the Park is tonight and Saturday at Federal Hill Commons. There’s a Handmade Vintage Market at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds, a Deaf Heritage Day at Conner Prairie and The Belfry Theatre and Basile Westfield Playhouse have performances through the weekend, and Nickel Plate Express is boarding passenger to fun destinations. 1. Come out and sit on the lawn for Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission’s 31st annual Noblesville Shakespeare in the Park featuring “As You Like It,” directed by Noblesville’s Jen Otterman, 8:30 p.m. today and Saturday at Federal Hill Commons, with free admission.
2. Experience live theater at Hyperion Players’ first show of the season, “Waiting for Godot,” directed by Molly Bellner, today through Sunday at The Switch Theatre at Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy in Fishers. Visit www.hyperionplayers.com.
3. Experience a live musical during Main Street Productions’ “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” a horror-musical directed by Noblesville’s Andrea Odle, now on stage through Sunday at Basile Westfield Playhouse. Visit westfieldplayhouse.org.
4. Have a good laugh during Hamilton County Theatre Guild’s Belfry Theatre production of “How the Other Half Loves,”directed by Noblesville’s Nicole Amsler, on stage through Sunday at Arts for Lawrence’s Theater at the Fort. Visit www.thebelfrytheatre.com.
5. Travel to the countryside to hear live music with Kris Huntley at 6:30 p.m. today and a Country Music Festival 12:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at Spencer Farm Winery in Noblesville. Visit spencerfarmwinery.com.
6. Enjoy live music with The Dead Squirrels tonight, Celtic Rain on Oct. 7 and Ghosts on Maple on Oct. 28 at Primeval Brewing in downtown Noblesville.
7. Hamilton County Artists’ Association Annual Exhibit through Sunday at Carmel Clay Public Library.
8. Attend Noblesville Fire Department’s annual all-you-can-eat Pancake Breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at NFD Station No. 71 in downtown Noblesville, celebrating National Fire Prevention Week, coming up Oct. 8-14. Lots of fun activities for kids. Breakfast is $5, kids under age 6 eat free.
9. Shop 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays through Oct. 14 at Noblesville Farmers Market at Federal Hill Commons in Noblesville. Fishers Farmers Market is open 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays through the summer at Nickel Plate District Amphitheater in Fishers.
10. Celebrate fall at the Handmade Vintage Market from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds in Noblesville, with $5 admission, free for ages 13 and younger.
11. Explore nature and history in new ways in 1836 Prairietown as the outdoor areas are open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, during the 2023 season. The 40th annual Headless Horseman program tickets are also now on sale for Oct. 5-29. Conner Prairie Deaf Heritage Day is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday with Luna Language Services’ ASL interpreters placed throughout Conner Prairie.
12. Central Indiana Vintage Vehicles car club invites car buffs to show off their vintage vehicles on the Courthouse Square during the weekly Saturday afternoon and evening Cruise-in. Lawn chairs and old-car conversations invited.
13. Enjoy live music featuring Jason and Robin on Saturday, Craig Thurston on Oct. 5 and 19, Dead Squirrels on Oct. 7, Jason and Robin on Oct. 12, John Gilmore on Oct. 14, Jeff Brown on Oct. 21, and Disagreeable on Oct. 28 at Grindstone Public House in Noblesville.
14. Hop aboard the Nickel Plate Express for an array of excursions, including Roaring 20s Murder Mystery ride at 5 p.m. Saturday, Wizard Express on Oct. 7, Fall Brunch Express, Oct. 14, Chugga Chugge at 5 p.m. Oct. 15, Arcadia Fall Market Express on Oct. 21. Plus, BBQ express and Reindeer Express.
15. Join in the Noblesville Main Street First Friday: Fall Festival from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 6 in downtown Noblesville, featuring the annual Soup Cook-Off event, shopping, deals, live music, fall activities, trick-or-treating, activities for kids and adults.
16. Brush up on your Shakespeare for “As You Like It,” presented by a roving troupe of Commedia dell’Arte performers, 8-10:30 p.m. Oct. 6, 7, 13 and 14; and 2-5 p.m. Oct. 8 and 15 at Mud Creek Theatre.
17. Kick start the holiday season with the return of the Fishers High School Band Boosters’ Christmas in October Craft Fair, a fundraiser for FHS Tiger Band program, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 7 at FHS. This juried event will feature 135 craft vendors and artisans lined up with handmade crafts, decorations and gifts.
18. Enjoy a special autumn day at Potter’s Bridge Park during the 24th annual Potter’s Bridge Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 7. Listen to live music, visit more than 100 arts, crafts and food booths, with free admission to the community.
19. Bring your furry friend and help support the Humane Society for Hamilton County during Barktoberfest, a Westfield Welcome event 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 7 at Asa Bales Park in Westfield. Find pet-related vendors, food vendors, pet portraits, caricatures, activities for humans and dogs, canine agility course, adoptable pets and pet costume contests at 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m., and design your own collar bow with Westfield High School Animal Club. The Humane Society for Hamilton County will collect items frequently needed in the shelter, such as canned dog and cat food, 55-gallon trash bags, and plush dog toys.Donating earns attendees a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of three gift baskets worth more than $100 each. Raffle tickets from the Humane Society will be $5 per ticket.
20. Come out to support breast cancer patients and survivors and enjoy some live music during the Battle4Betty Battle of the Bands fundraiser for Breast Cancer Awareness month from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Ralph Lehr VFW Post 6246 in Noblesville. Silent auction, raffle, pulled pork and chicken plates, T-shirt sale, cash bar and free admission, and vote with tips for your favorite bands that include Fast Cadillac, Roughouse and Strawberry Jam.
21. Noblesville Main Street’s free Music & All That Jazz series, sponsored by Gordon Insurance, features live music, Cohen-Rutkowski Project, Oct. 14, on the Courthouse Square in downtown Noblesville.
22. Enjoy live comedy with September’s Showcase on Friday night featuring Marissa Prentice and Neal Meyer of Bloomington, Jon Bass and Ben potts, both of Kentucky, John Freitag of South Bend. 23. Indiana Artisan and Carmel Creative Writers will co-host Art-Inspired Words, an evening of readings inspired by a piece the writer found, 5-7 p.m. Oct. 19 in Community Room A of the Carmel Clay Public Library, and the public is invited to attend.
24. Shop with local painters, illustrators, makers, seamstresses, bakers, candle makers, ceramicists, authors and others without storefronts during Autumn Alley Art Market from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 21 at Noblesville Square.
25. Noblesville Cultural Arts Commission presents the final show in a Vintage Film Series in The Lacy Arts Building, “The Shock,” Oct. 28, with complimentary popcorn and beverages.
