Wednesday Final Day for Debris Pickup

The City of Carmel Street Department has been working to pick up storm debris from residential areas in the aftermath of the April 2 tornado. The last day for residents to utilize this service will be Wednesday.

The Carmel Street Department announced on April 3 that the City would be providing free curbside pickup service for fallen limbs and other small storm debris to residents following Mayor Sue Finkam’s local emergency declaration.

If you still require pickup service:

  • Please place any tree debris next to the roadway, and the Street Department will come by and remove it.
  • Ensure all debris is placed properly by the curb for easy pickup. When ready for pickup please notify the Street Department.
  • Any residents in need of assistance due to age or medical conditions – please contact the Street Department.
  • Residents whose homes received structural damage from the storm should report it to the Street Department, and our City Building Inspectors will schedule an assessment.
