Doug Church Courthouse Artwork on Display Friday
For nearly two decades, Doug Church set out on an ambitious mission to collect artwork representing all 92 historic Indiana county courthouses. He finished the collection this year.
On Friday Indiana Landmarks will host a free First Friday Art Show and Talk that highlights the courthouse artwork. Guests will hear from Doug about his story behind the journey, as well as from Elizabeth R. Osborn, on the history and artistic legacy of Indiana’s courthouses.
We’d love to invite you to cover the event and to consider interviewing Doug Church ahead of time. As a longtime attorney with Church Church Hittle + Antrim, Doug has spent decades stepping into courthouses across Indiana. His deep appreciation for these civic landmarks, combined with a personal passion for art, inspired this one-of-a-kind project.
