Mildred (Micki) Clark

Mildred (Micki) Clark, 92, passed away peacefully on Sat., March 5, 2022, in Carmel, Ind.

She was born in Whitley County, Ind., and was the daughter of Raymond B. Martin and Elsie L. Martin.

Mrs. Clark was blessed with a large and loving family. In her early years, while attending nursing school in Indianapolis, she fell in love with a dental student John Krieger Clark. They married on Oct. 7, 1950. He continued with his schooling while they started their family. After Mr. Clark graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry, the Clark family moved to Ft. Wayne where they opened a dental practice and grew their family. Mrs. Clark focused on raising the children in her early years and returned to work as their children grew, working alongside her husband as his business partner in later years. She loved to read and could often be found curled up in a comfortable chair with a good book.

Survivors include her four children, John (Anita) Clark, Cindy (David) Black, Susan (Tim) Kearby and Lynn (Mike) Coghlan; eight grandchildren, Adam Black, Dan Black, Mike Black, Stephanie Burgett, Jenny Fager, Dan Kearby, Lauren Coghlan and Nicole Coghlan; and 6 great grandchildren.                                  

Mrs. Clark will be remembered in a private ceremony in Avilla, Ind., where she will be laid to rest in the Clark family plot, alongside her husband of 54 years, John Krieger Clark. Bussell Family Funerals is privileged to assist the family in arrangements.
