Come out to Taste of Business Today at the Embassy Suites

Guests will be shuttled to the front door of this year’s Taste of Business – Made in Noblesville.

A new guest shuttle service will bring guests from each of the Embassy Suites parking lots and the former Odyssey restaurant site during today’s Noblesville Chamber of Commerce event, thanks to a shuttle service provided by Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville.

Gaylor Electric, a more than 30 year-old industrial electrical contractor, is sponsoring all of the exhibitors’ power needs this year.

Chamber president Bob DuBois is thrilled about this year’s event, open 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel in Noblesville.

Logan Street Signs and Banners, and owner Jim Wafford, are celebrating their 30th anniversary wanted to share their celebration with the Noblesville business community that has supported them over these many years, DuBois said. So the sign company is sponsoring the evening entertainment that includes the Edward Zlaty Trio and DJ Sunny Moon.

“We always welcome back a core 75 businesses and civic organizations as exhibitors,” DuBois said.

But there are newbies, too. “We are happy to introduce a dozen first-time exhibitors to the event,” he said. Artisan Alley adds five more businesses to the mix. In total, there are 100 businesses and organizations contributing to this year’s event.

In 2020, the Taste was in March, a day before the pandemic. In 2021, Taste was in August. This year, it’s May. “Choosing a date is a bit of logistics and luck,” DuBois said. “We think the Taste is best positioned in the first half of the year. Since our 2021 Taste was shifted from the traditional spring time frame due to Covid and held in late August (2021), we wanted to have at least seven months between events.”

DuBois said, “We also are partnered with the City of Noblesville and the Embassy Suites, and we consider their availability. This all resulted in a May date for this year.”

There is always lots of food, hence the name “Taste of Business.” This year, eateries include Aspen Creek, Chuy’s Tex-Mex,  Jim Dandy (new to the Taste), Cloud Nine, Marco’s Pizza, Matteo’s Ristorante Italiano, Nameless Catering, Condado’s Tacos (new to the Taste), Ginger’s Cafe and Bier Brewery (also, new to the Taste.)

Several other exhibitors usually serve food, like Chamber Legacy Partner Riverview Health, which always offers up a healthy snack at the Taste. “The Chef at the Embassy Suites also offers up a savory sample,” he said.

DuBois said, “We couldn’t be more grateful for the restaurants who are joining us this year to share their hospitality. All restaurants have been challenged by staffing, supply chain and rising food costs. So their participation is just that much more valued.”

What about local manufacturers? “We are excited to have several of our manufacturers back showcasing what they make right here in Noblesville and the careers associated. Our largest private sector employer, SMC, is joining us this year, as is Helmer Scientific and OmniWall/Noble Industries.

DuBois said, there are also a number of business services exhibiting for the first time, ADP, Kemper Health, Armstrong Accounting Solutions (wristband sponsor) and Health Markets.

Plus, he said, “Two sure-to-please first-timers are Smith Jewelers and Camp BowWow.

The Taste of Business – Made in Noblesville event is made possible with support from the City of Noblesville Economic Development and the Embassy Suites. “This event serves as an important business-to-business networking event, as well as the chance for the citizens of the Noblesville area to be introduced to local community-minded businesses.”

This year’s event is expected to attract more than 1,000 people. Discounted tickets are available for $5 or in person at Ginger’s Cafe and The Farmers Bank, for $7.
