Richardo Jose Duarte Valecillos

February 15, 1973 – May 27, 2022

Richardo Jose Duarte Valecillos, 49, of Carmel, passed away May 27, 2022.

He was born February 15, 1973 in Caracas, Venezuela.

As a Chef, Mr. Duarte enjoyed cooking and preparing meals. He was a gentle and peaceful man who liked to bike, listen to music Airon Maiden, Bella DaCosta, Metallica, the Beatles, Gun’s, and Roses, and watch documentaries with his niece. Even as a young boy, he was fascinated with airplanes, which allowed him the opportunity of training and working as a Flight Attendant.

Mr. Duarte had a passion for animals, such as hamsters, birds, and fish. The last six years of living with Johanna’s family brought him much joy. He gave much effort in helping his family still living in Venezuela. Mr. Duarte was a loving and caring son, brother, and friend.

Survivors include his mother Isabel De Duarte Valecillos; brother Ruy Duarte; two nephews Ruy Alejandro and Andres Duarte; sister-in-law Johanna Marquez and husband Alberto Ibarra; niece Ainhoa; nephew Noah; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rui Duarte; and an aunt.

Visitation is scheduled to take place Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 2 p.m. in Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oakridge Road, Carmel, with the Memorial Mass scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.
