Alan L. Finch

Alan L. Finch, 75, Indianapolis, passed away Mon., Feb. 14, 2022, at Compassus Hospice in Indianapolis following an extended illness.

He was born Aug. 7, 1946, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Albert Finch and Phyllis (Taylor) Finch.

Mr. Finch graduated from Indianapolis Arsenal Tech High School in 1964.

He founded Crazy Al’s Pizza and Music Venue in Broad Ripple. There, he hosted many top bands in their early years. Al also worked as a manager/ designer for Russ Dellen Oldsmobile, in their conversion van operation. Most recently he worked in the retail industry.

Mr. Finch served his country in the United States Army Reserve for six years. He was a charter member of the Daybreak Community Church in Lapel. He was a 25-year season ticket holder at Beef and Boards Dinner Theater and a 10-year season ticket holder of the Indianapolis Indians.

Survivors include his six children, William G. (Linda) Price, Tamara (Bryan) Terry, Julia (James) Arney, Mary Beth (Chris) Bates, Genevieve Price and Alan (Casey) Finch; ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Barbara Joan; sisters Pamela Hazel, Patricia McClintock and Linda Finch; and a son, John Michael Price.

A Funeral Service is scheduled to be held at 4 p.m. on Fri., Feb. 18, 2022, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Ind. with Pastor Tim Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation is scheduled to be from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home on Fri., Feb. 18.
