Roy Lee Eiler

May 26, 1927 – Feb. 8, 2022

Roy Lee Eiler, 94, of Noblesville, passed away Tue., Feb. 8, 2022, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born on May 26, 1927, in Madison County, to Ralph Eiler and Faye (Everett) Eiler.

Mr. Eiler graduated from Lapel High School in 1945.

He worked his entire life training and racing horses, restoring antique farm equipment, and owning and operating a retail farm equipment establishment.

Mr. Eiler served his country in the United States Navy, stationed in Guam. He was a member of the Contest Riders Association, the Indiana Quarter Horse Racing Association, and inducted into the IQHRA Hall of Fame.

Survivors include his wife Wilma Eiler of Noblesville; son Larry (Carolyn) Eiler of Columbus, OH; daughter Wanda (Dan) Grice of Pendleton; brother Wilbur (Betty) Eiler of Fortville; sister Phyllis Hackler of Pendleton; grandchildren Tami Eiler, Tracy (Jeff) Ackers, Brett Wilson and Kellyah (Travis) Davis; great-grandchildren Cody, Kyle, Kaylie, Leila, Brody, Tessa and Norah. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Eiler was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia Turner.

A funeral service is scheduled to be held at 11 a.m. on Thu., Feb. 17, 2022, at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Ind. with the Rev. Glenn Knepp officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation is scheduled to be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wed., Feb. 16 at the funeral home.
