Dr. Daniel Hile Named as New Superintendent of Noblesville Schools

Noblesville Schools announced today that Dr. Daniel Hile has been named the district’s new superintendent, replacing Dr. Beth Niedermeyer who is retiring at the end of this month. The Noblesville Schools Board of Trustees voted to approve the hiring of Hile at a special session held this evening and his contract begins July 1.

Hile, who was named the 2022 Northeastern Indiana Superintendent of the Year, takes on the top Noblesville role from his current position as superintendent of Smith-Green Community Schools in Churubusco, Indiana. Located approximately 15 miles northwest of Fort Wayne, Hile also served previously as a principal, assistant principal, and teacher in Churubusco.

Noblesville Mayor Chris Jensen said that “the community is grateful to Dr. Beth Niedermeyer and appreciates everything she has done for Noblesville Schools.” Jensen added “I want to welcome Dr. Daniel Hile and his family to Noblesville. A passionate advocate for public education, Hile is known for his leadership, communications, professionalism, and community involvement and I look forward to working with him.”

Dr. Hile’s contract with Noblesville Schools grants him a salary of $182,500, with the potential for annual increases, as well as a range of health and life insurance benefits, vacation and sick days, and assistance with relocation and work-related expenses.

The contract will become active effective July 1, 2022 and run through June 30, 2025, for a three-year term.

Dr. Beth Niedermeyer, the outgoing superintendent of Noblesville Schools, finished her tenure with an annual salary of $194,677.

Hile has served on several boards including the American Association of School Administrators, Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents, Northeast Indiana Public Schools Association, Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership and the Purdue University Educational Leadership and Policy Studies Advisory Board.

He has also collaborated with the Whitley County Economic Development Council, Churubusco Rotary Club, Churubusco Chamber of Commerce, Churubusco Redevelopment Council and the Churubusco Main Street Committee.

In addition to a doctorate in educational leadership from Purdue University, where he has also served as a guest lecturer, Hile holds a master’s degree in education administration from Indiana University Fort Wayne, as well as a bachelor’s degree in music education from Indiana University.

Hile, his wife Jana and their two children plan to relocate to Noblesville. His son will attend Noblesville High School and his daughter will be a college student.
