Fishers Hosts Annual Spark!Fishers Festival from June 21st – 25th

The annual Spark!Fishers festival, ignited by First Internet Bank, will return with a weeklong celebration in Fishers’ downtown Nickel Plate District June 21 through 25. This year’s festival also kicks off the city’s Sesquicentennial Year celebration, marking Fishers’ 150th birthday. With exciting ways for the community to celebrate each day, the patriotic festival showcases what it means to be uniquely Fishers while celebrating our nation’s freedom.

“We invite the community to join us for another great year of Spark!Fishers. The week-long festival has something for everyone and brings Fishers’ residents together to celebrate community and build traditions,” said Sarah Sandquist, Director of Fishers Parks.

Here is a full schedule of events for the festival:

Community Concert – Tuesday, June 21 at 7 p.m.

Kick off the Spark!Fishers celebration with a patriotic Tuesday Night Community Concert featuring Fishers Music Works’ White River Wind Symphony at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. Admission is free and no tickets are required. Food, non-alcoholic beverages, chairs and blankets are welcome. Outside alcohol is not permitted, but food and drink will be available for purchase on site. The Community Concert Series is presented by IU Health Fishers. 5K Run/Walk & Kids Fun Run – Wednesday, June 22 at 6:30 & 7 p.m.

Lace up your running shoes for the family-friendly 5K Walk/Run, presented by IU Health Fishers, featuring a brand new 5K route along the Nickel Plate Trail. The 5K Walk/Run will depart from the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater (6 Municipal Drive) at 7 p.m. A Kids Fun Run 30-yard dash will take place before the 5K at 6:30 p.m. To view a course map and register for the race, visit sparkfishers.com/5K. Car & Art Show – Thursday, June 23 from 6 – 9 p.m.

Stroll the Central Green and check out the Spark!Fishers Car & Art Show, featuring a record number of vintage and modern cars alongside local artists and artisans curated by Fishers Arts Council. This event is free to attend, and no tickets are required. Car owners can register their vehicles at sparkfishers.com/CarAndArtShow.

Friday Night Concert featuring Bruno Mars tribute band, Uptown Funk – Friday, June 24 at 8 p.m. 

The weekend party kicks off with a Friday night concert at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater featuring Bruno Mars tribute band, Uptown Funk. Admission is free, and no tickets are required. Food, non-alcoholic beverages, chairs, and blankets are welcome. Outside alcohol is not permitted, but food and drink will be available for purchase on site. Street Fair – Saturday, June 25 from  3 – 10 p.m. 

Soak up the summer fun at the Spark!Fishers Street Fair around the Municipal Complex, with fun for all ages including:

  • Local food and drink, retail vendors, artisans, and more, along with the Dining Tent, sponsored by Four Day Ray Brewing.
  • The Ferris wheel is back – and larger than before – offering spectacular views of downtown Fishers.
  • Three entertainment stages featuring live performances starting at 3 p.m., including the main NPD AMP stage as well as new, roaming street acts. See the full lineup at sparkfishers.com/Entertainment.
  • The Kids Zone with more bounce houses, games, face painters, balloon artists and additional kid-friendly fun sponsored by DMC Insurance.
  • The Spark!Fishers Teen Zone, featuring interactive racing simulators, ski-ball, table tennis, a skatepark and more.
  • Hero Hut, a 501(C)(3) will host a tent for veterans to learn about services and opportunities available to them, build friendships, and forge a connection to the Fishers community. Hero Hut is sponsored by the Indiana Army National Guard.

Parade – Saturday, June 26 at 6 p.m. 

Celebrate the spark of our community with this fun-filled tradition through Fishers’ Nickel Plate District featuring floats and walking groups from various local organizations and civic groups. Snag your spot early along the route. Check out the route map at sparkfishers.com/Parade.

Fireworks – Saturday, June 26 at 10 p.m.

Cap off the festivities with a dazzling firework show. Suggested viewing locations include the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater lawn and throughout the Municipal Complex. Fireworks will be launched from Holland Park which will be closed for viewing due to safety reasons.

Wristbands are required to participate in Spark!Fishers’ Saturday activities, including inflatables, the skate park, and the Ferris wheel. Wristbands can be purchased in advance for $3 or at the event for $5. Pre-ordered wristbands must be picked up at the Fishers Parks office (8100 E. 106th Street, Ste 150) during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. by Friday, June 24 at 7 p.m. Learn more and order wristbands here.

Accessible parking is available in the Fishers Police Department Garage (4 Municipal Drive). Fishers Parks also will offer KultureCity sensory inclusive bags and weighted lap pads for those with sensory needs during all events. Items will be available for checkout at info tents at festival entrances.

For events Tuesday through Friday evening, free parking is available around the Municipal Complex and downtown Fishers both in parking garages and street parking. On Saturday, guests are encouraged to park at the Forum Credit Union Headquarters (11313 USA Parkway) and take the free event shuttle. Shuttles will run regularly beginning Saturday at 1:30 p.m. through the end of the event. Surface lots around Municipal Drive will not be available to Spark!Fishers guests. The Switch parking garage (North Street and Municipal Drive) will be reserved for residents and those with valid Spark!Fishers parking passes. Public parking is available in The Edge (116th Street and Lantern Road), Nickel Plate Station (Moore Street & 116th Street) and Spark Apartments (Lantern Road and the Nickel Plate Trail) garages. ADA parking is available at the Fishers Police Department (4 Municipal Drive). Rideshare drop off and pick up will occur at The Edge Parking Garage (8890 E. 116th Street). Bicycle parking is available around the Municipal Complex.
