Heights Launches Distinguished Alumni Program
Hamilton Heights School Corporation is pleased to announce the launch of its Distinguished Alumni Program—a new initiative that honors remarkable lifetime achievement among our Hamilton Heights High School graduates. This annual recognition celebrates individuals whose personal and professional journeys exemplify excellence, service, and the enduring vision of HHSC.
Anyone may submit a nomination, and we welcome candidates from all walks of life—those who have demonstrated outstanding career accomplishments, dedicated community service, and a lasting impact aligned with our core values.
Nominees must have graduated at least 15 years ago from Hamilton Heights High School or one of our historic schools: Atlanta, Jackson Central, Walnut Grove, Arcadia, or Cicero. All alumni, living or deceased, are eligible—whether their contributions were in business, medicine, athletics, education, law enforcement, government, non-profits, or military service.
“We are proud of the thousands of students who have attended Hamilton Heights High School—and of the profound contributions our alumni have made across generations,” said Hamilton Heights High School Principal, Whitney Gray. “From our consolidated schools—Atlanta, Jackson Central, Walnut Grove, Arcadia, and Cicero—to today’s Hamilton Heights School Corporation, this community has long nurtured excellence, character, and service. The launch of the Distinguished Alumni Program allows us to formally celebrate the remarkable lives and accomplishments of our graduates whose impact reaches well beyond the walls of our schools.”
“The School Board is proud to recognize outstanding alum who began their education at Hamilton Heights School Corporation,” added HHSC Board President, Dr. Kevin Cavanaugh, who has served as a member of Hamilton Heights School Board since 2017. “Heights has an excellent reputation of graduating outstanding contributors to society that have changed the world for the better throughout their lives. We are excited to recognize some of these individuals.”
Nominations are accepted year-round, with a cutoff date of Nov. 1 each year. Honorees will be selected by the Alumni Committee prior to the end of the fall semester and formally recognized at our Winter Homecoming celebration. Nomination forms can be found on the website.
This program is more than an award—it’s a tribute to the proud legacy of Hamilton Heights and the individuals who continue to inspire future generations.
