The University of Alabama placed 133 student-athletes on the Southeastern Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, including Westfield’s Kai Connor from the track & field team. Kai is studying management, The Crimson Tide track and field team claimed 54 of those student-athletes. To earn a place on the honor roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.0 or better grade-point average for either the preceding academic year or their career and be a sophomore or better in academic standing.

Evan Bourdon of Sheridan has been named to the University of West Alabama’s Spring 2025 Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement.
Bourdon is majoring in Engineering Technology.
The Dean’s List gives recognition to those undergraduate students those with grade-point averages between 3.25 and 3.79, completing at least twelve semester credit hours, with no grade lower than a “C.”
Albion College
Noblesville scholar athlete Elaina Hendrix was named to the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association 2024-25 Academic Honor Roll. During the 2024-25 academic year, Hendrix was a member of Albion’s volleyball team.
The MIAA Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who maintain a 3.5 grade-point average for the academic year and earn a varsity letter in an MIAA-sponsored sport.
Hendrix is a resident of Noblesville and a graduate of Noblesville High School.
Augustana College
Lexi Woodcock, a Communication Studies and Multimedia Journalism and Mass Communication major, of Sheridan, was named to Augustana College’s Dean’s List.
Aurora University
Aurora University has named Zachary Fuzy, Fishers, Business Administration and Lyla Bozoian, Westfield, Psychology and Finance to the Dean’s List for the spring 2025 semester. The Dean’s List recognizes full-time undergraduate students who have earned a 3.6 grade-point average or higher.
Baldwin Wallace University
Greyson Johnson of Fishers was inducted into the Baldwin Wallace University chapter of Sigma Delta Pi, the National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society, in the spring 2025 semester. Johnson, a graduate of Hamilton Southeastern High School majoring in sport management and Spanish, shared the honor with four other students. Society membership is extended to students who have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in college-level Spanish courses; have an overall GPA of 3.0 or better; and have at least sophomore standing with three years of college-level Spanish (or equivalent) and one course in literature or civilization.

Belmont University men’s basketball team was recently honored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as part of its annual academic awards program, including Samuel Orme of Carmel.
Bucknell University
Bucknell University has released the dean’s list for outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester of the 2024-25 academic year. A student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher on a scale of 4.0 to receive dean’s list recognition.
That group include Zoha Nadeer of Noblesville in Markets, Innovation & Design; and Hannah Kim, in Mechanical Engineering. Zoha and Hannah also joined more than 900 graduates from the Class of 2025. Hanna earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Zoha earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. And Ava Aguilar from Fishers earned a Bachelor of Arts.
Capital University
Mackenzie Howard of Carmel was among over 400 graduates who received their undergraduate degrees from Capital at the University’s 175th Commencement Ceremony in May 2025. Mackenzie was also named to the President’s List.

Sophia Brown, of Westfield, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the College of Charleston.
Brown was among more than 1,700 bachelor’s degree and master’s degree candidates who participated in the 2025 College of Charleston Spring Commencement ceremony.
The College also congratulates over 2,100 students named to the President’s List for Spring 2025, including Catherine Koschnick of Indianapolis who majored in Political Science and Finance.

The Citadel
The South Carolina Corps of Cadets Class of 2025 are now part of the Long Gray Line.
More than 400 members of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets accepted their degrees during the commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 3. Approximately 30% of the graduating cadets accepted commissions as officers into the U.S. Armed Services.
The top academic programs for the Class of 2025 included Intelligence and Security Studies, Mechanical Engineering, Management, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Finance and Marketing and Business Development.
Graduates accepted their diploma from President of The Citadel Gen. Glenn W. Walters, USMC (Ret.), Class of 1979.
Gavin Coulter and Tyler Miller from Carmel both graduated from The Citadel.
Also, Hunter Keltner of Fishers and Aiden Raab of Tipton, earned Dean’s List honors. The dean’s list is a recognition given to cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.20 or higher, with no grade of I (Incomplete) and no grade below C for work in a semester.
Des Moines University
Jefney Ongeri of Fishers was among more than 400 new health professionals who graduated on May 30 with degrees from Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences. Ongeri completed a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree.
Eastern Illinois University
Ty Anderson, of Westfield, has been named to Eastern Illinois University’s Spring 2025 Dean’s List in recognition of academic excellence. Majoring in Finance, Anderson is among fewer than 900 students named to the Spring 2025 Dean’s List.

Over 1,000 Elmhurst University students were named to the Spring 2025 Dean’s List. Jessica Mikhael of Carmel received a Master of Science from Elms College following the conclusion of the Spring 2025 semester.

Emerson College awarded approximately 1,000 undergraduate degrees to the Class of 2025 during its 145th Commencement at Agganis Arena in Boston, MA on Sunday, May 11, 2025.

Fairfield University
The following Fairfield University student graduated from Fairfield University, May 2025, Kyla Berg of Fishers. At the time of graduation, a student must have earned a minimum of 120 credits and completed at least 38 three- or four-credit courses, depending on the course of study, and have an overall grade point average of 2.0 or better at the conclusion of the senior year.
Franklin College
Garrett Adams, a 2011 Franklin College graduate and a resident of Fishers, has joined the Franklin College Alumni Council. Adams is the Senior Director of Clinical Development Neuroscience, Eli Lilly and Company.
Freed-Hardeman University
FHU has released the names of students who made the President’s and Dean’s lists for the Spring 2025 semester. To be on the President’s List, a student must be full-time and have a 4.0 grade point average. Students on the Dean’s List have earned a minimum 3.4 grade point average for the semester. This year there were more than 600 students who received this academic honor, including Elayna Reynolds, a Senior from Noblesville, on the President’s list. Reynolds is studying Nursing.
Furman University
The following Furman University students from Carmel were included on the dean’s list for the 2025 spring semester. Furman’s dean’s list is composed of full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher on a four-point system. David Michael Gabrick, son of Michael Gabrick and Elizabeth Gabrick, and Kayla N. White, daughter of Nicholas White and Michele White.
Georgia State University
Timothy Lee of Indianapolis was named to both the Spring 2025 Dean’s List at Georgia State University, and the Summer 2025 President’s List
To be eligible for the Dean’s List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. To be eligible for the President’s List during the summer semester, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of six semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.
Georgia Tech
The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to 6,660 undergraduate and graduate students during the Institute’s 268th Commencement exercises, including three from the county. They are: Justin Baxtron of Fishers, Indraja Chatterjee of Carmel and Lauren Dubbink of Fishers.
Also, Lauren Caldwell of Fishers made the Dean’s List for the Spring 2025 semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 3.0 or higher academic average for the semester.
Three other local students earned the distinction of Faculty Honors for Spring 2025 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 academic average for the semester. They are: Aparupa Brahma of Fishers, Abhijay Salvi of Westfield and Sneha Vashistha of Carmel.
Grove City College
Keifer Lengacher recently earned a degree from Grove City College on May 10, 2025. Lengacher earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Design and Innovation and is from Noblesville.

Iowa State University
Reagan Paige Wilson of Noblesville has been named to the President’s List at Iowa State University. Students achieving this prestigious designation have maintained a 4.0 GPA for two consecutive semesters. Wilson is majoring in management.
In addition, nearly 4,600 graduates received degrees from Iowa State University this spring. Graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremonies were held May 15-17. Kettering University
Kettering University welcomed Carson Wood of Westfield to campus on July 10 as one of 121 A-Section students launching their journey into a rigorous STEM education that blends academic excellence with real-world impact.
In addition, Ronald Schwanke of Fishers, an Electrical Engineering student, was recently inducted into the Order of the Engineer, a national fellowship that emphasizes integrity, responsibility, and service in the engineering profession.
During the Ring Ceremony, held on Sept. 15, inductees formally accepted the Obligation of the Engineer, a lifelong pledge to uphold ethical practice and dedication to the public good.
Knox College
High-achieving students were named to the Knox College Dean’s List for the 2025 Spring Term. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have earned at least 2.5 credits in the term, with a grade point average of 3.6 or better (on a 4.0 scale).

Lakeview College of Nursing recently held a White Coat Ceremony to recognize students who achieved the transition into clinical practice within their bachelor’s degree nursing program.

Kathryn Lough of Indianapolis was named to the University of Mississippi’s Spring 2025 Honor Roll lists.
Lough, majoring in Sport and Recreation Administration, was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll, which is reserved for students who earn a semester GPA of 3.50-3.74.
To be eligible for honor roll designation, a student must have completed at least 12 graded hours for the semester and may not be on academic probation during the semester.

Mississippi State University
Kaelin Wincek, of Fishers is among approximately 3,500 students graduating from Mississippi State University in spring 2025, with commencement in May.
Wincek received the Master of Business Adm from MSU’s College of Business.
Missouri State University
Missouri State University awarded 2,824 degrees to students in spring 2025.

Each semester, students at Missouri State University who attain academic excellence are named to the dean’s list.
For undergraduate students, criteria include enrollment in at least 12 credit hours during the spring semester and at least a 3.50 grade point average (on a 4.00 scale).

University of Nebraska
More than 6,700 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students have been named to the Deans’ List for the spring semester of the 2024-25 academic year.
They include two students from Carmel: Reese Elle Keetle, freshman, Dean’s List, College of Business, marketing and Audrey Wirth, senior, Dean’s List, College of Education and Human Sciences, child, youth and family studies. North Dakota
More than 1,700 students graduated from the University of North Dakota this spring, including Fishers resident Jonna M Gunnarson with a Master of Arts, Forensic Psychology.
Northern Illinois University
More than 2,100 students received their bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from Northern Illinois University in May. Included among the graduates was Lindsey Kojich of Carmel, who earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Sciences.
Earning Dean’s list honors were Fishers’ Aubrey Robertson, Nutrition, Dietetics, & Wellne, Fishers High School, and Noblesville’s Samuel Divis, HealthSci-Pre-Physical Therapy, Noblesville High School.
To earn this distinction, students must meet a minimum semester grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in the College of Engineering and Engineering Technology or a minimum of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale in the colleges of Business, Education, Health and Human Sciences, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Visual and Performing Arts.
Ohio University
Following the completion of each semester, Ohio University recognizes the academic achievements of its students by publishing the President’s, Dean’s and Provost’s Lists.
The President’s List distinction is presented to undergraduate students who exhibit an exceptional commitment to academic excellence each semester. Criteria for the President’s List include a 4.0 GPA for the given semester with a minimum of 12 credit hours attempted for letter grades that are used to calculate GPA.
In spring semester 2025, approximately 2,200 Ohio University undergraduate students qualified for OHIO’s President’s List, including Lilly O’Rourke of Carmel and Emma Rogers of Indianapolis.
The Dean’s List recognizes undergraduate students who complete a particular semester with a GPA between 3.5 and 3.999 with a minimum of 12 credit hours attempted for letter grades that are used to calculate GPA.
In spring semester 2025, approximately 6,700 Ohio University undergraduate students qualified for the Dean’s List, including Dina Hagerty of Carmel, Kendall Hickey of Fishers, Jhane Leeper of Carmel, Sydney Longstreth of Carmel, Alaina Nugent of Fortville and Jenny Zerla of Fishers.
Ohio Wesleyan University
Tim Alexander of Noblesville has been named to the 2025 spring semester Dean’s List at Ohio Wesleyan University.
To earn Dean’s List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.
Palmer College
Ashley Glesing of Pendleton has been named to the 2025 spring trimester Dean’s List at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Florida Campus in Port Orange, Florida.
Purchase College
Purchase College announced that more than 1,300 students were named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and taken a minimum of 12 credits. For BA and BS programs, a semester GPA of 3.50 is required. For BFA and MusB programs, a semester GPA of 3.75 is required.

Quinnipiac University
Cassidy Chestnut of Carmel was named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2025 semester at Quinnipiac University. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C. Full-time students must complete at least 14 credits in a semester, with at least 12 credits that have been graded on a letter grade basis to be eligible. Part-time students must complete at least six credits during a semester.
Roger Williams University
Cara Harvey, of Fishers has been named to the Spring 2025 Dean’s List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean’s List that semester.
Saginaw Valley State University
More than 1,800 students from Saginaw Valley State University earned a spot on the winter 2025 semester Deans’ List.
Delaney Martin of Noblesville was among those honored for academic excellence.

To qualify, recipients must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have completed at least one full year at their institution.

South Dakota State University announces Sarah Gould of Carmel has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2025 semester.
Gould is a student in SDSU’s College of Education and Human Sciences.

University of Tampa has honored 2,340 students who were named to the dean’s list for the Spring 2025 semester. Students must maintain a GPA of 3.75 or higher to be eligible for the dean’s list.

Vick Kiger, a psychology major from Carmel, is one of the cast members, The play will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Nov. 6 and 7, and at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, in the Ryan Concert Hall of the T. Furth Center for Performing Arts.
Troy University
Jaysi Klink of Westfield is part of the inaugural cohort for University Honors Global Scholars Program.

University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point honored more than 2,400 undergraduate students for attaining high grade point averages during the spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, including Sarah Winchell with High Honors. Sarah is from Fishers.
Full-time undergraduates who earned grade points of 3.90 to 4.0 (4.0 equals straight A) are given the highest honors designation. High honor citations go to those with grade point averages from 3.75 to 3.89 and honor recognition is accorded to those with grade point averages from 3.50 to 3.74.
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater
Ashnaya Gupta, a Human Performance major at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from Carmel, is one of more than 400 Warhawk student-athletes who earned a spot on the 2024-25 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholastic Honor Roll. Gupta was a member of the gymnastics team during the 2024-25 academic year. The WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll represents students that achieved a 3.00 grade point average or better (on a 4.00 scale).
Preston Pekala, a Business major from Westfield, made the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater football team during the 2025 season, which began the season last month.
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Devin Mihaichuk, a member of the class of 2026 majoring in Computer Science and Interactive Media and Game Development – Technology at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed a professional-level research-driven project titled “Providing Chatbot Assistance to Ukrainian Refugees.”
In addition, Mihaichuk, was named to the university’s Dean’s List for academic excellence for the spring 2025 semester.
The criteria for the WPI Dean’s List differ from that of most other universities as WPI does not compute a grade point average (GPA). Instead, WPI students are named to the Dean’s List based on the amount of work completed at the A level in courses and hands-on projects. A total of 2,331 undergraduate students achieved these criteria for WPI’s spring 2025 Dean’s List.
Youngstown State
Youngstown State University students named to the Dean’s List for Spring Semester 2025. Dean’s List recognition is awarded to full-time undergraduate students who have earned at least a 3.4 grade point average for not less than 12 semester hours of credit in the Fall semester. Local students are: Madeline Bellaver of Fishers majoring in Nursing and Mostofa Mahboob Jamil of McCordsville majoring in First Year Engineering. Jamil was also named to Youngstown State University’s President’s List for achieving a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the Spring Semester 2025. To be eligible for the President’s List, honorees must be full-time undergraduate students with a 4.0 GPA for least 12 semester hours of classes.
