4-H Callout Set For Jan. 7

It is 4-H enrollment time in Hamilton County and this year’s them is “Wicked For Good.” The good folks with Purdue Extension and 4-H are planning an in-person event on Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2003 Pleasant St.

“4-H is an experiential program for youth in grades 3-12 (Mini 4-H for grades K-2) that is delivered by Purdue University Cooperative Extension,” said Alex Walther, Social Media & Communications Assistant with Purdue Extension in Hamilton County. “Through hands-on learning, 4-H youth build not only confidence, creativity, and curiosity, but also life skills such as leadership and resiliency to help them thrive today and tomorrow. 4-H welcomes young people of all beliefs and backgrounds while giving youth a voice to express who they are and how they can make their lives and communities better.  Nearly 1,600 youth from Hamilton County are currently involved in 4-H and close to six million kids and teens worldwide and that is because 4-H has pivoted and adapted to today’s changing world by providing a platform to promote individual growth by learning, doing, and engaging.”

The Enrollment target date is Jan. 15. 4-H’ers must re-enroll every year. For information, contact the Purdue Extension Hamilton County Office at (317) 776-0854 or go to https://extension.purdue.edu/county/hamilton/4H/index.html
