Sheridan LifeWise Academy Hosts Dinner for a Cause

LifeWise Academy in Sheridan, will host Dinner for a Cause on Feb. 26  at 6 p.m. at Sheridan High School to benefit students attending LifeWise Sheridan. The dinner takes place before the Blackhawks last home boys varsity game against Traders Point.

The dinner is open to the public and will provide information for parents interested in enrolling their children while also raising funds to support students attending LifeWise Academy at Sheridan Elementary and Middle schools this year.

“We are excited to offer Bible-based character education to participating students in fifth and sixth grade and look forward to growing a relationship with Sheridan community members,” said Elisabeth Kennedy, LifeWise Academy Sheridan Director.

Tickets to Dinner for a Cause are available for $15 and can be purchased at  https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/community-dinner-for-a-cause or email sheridanin@lifewise.org. Charleston’s of Carmel has committed to donating dinner for this event and giving each ticket holder a $10 gift card to Charleston’s.  The Sheridan Dairy Queen is donating deserts for the occasion.

There will be a silent auction with valuable items which have been donated generously by local businesses and attractions.  The bidding  will conclude at the buzzer starting the third period of the game.  Thanks to Conner Prairie, The Indianapolis Zoo and many other participants that  make these baskets appealing for all.  (You do not have to be present to win.)

LifeWise lessons  teach the Bible chronologically. Each lesson connects a Bible passage to a relevant character trait in which  students are learning how to apply the teachings to life outside of the classroom.  LifeWise Academy, based in Hilliard, Ohio, is a released time religious instruction program providing Bible-based character education to public school students. With parent permission, students are released from school for one hour per week to attend off-campus classes. For more information about LifeWise Academy, visit lifewise.org.
