Acapella Group from IU Comes to Concerts on the Corner
Indiana University’s Acapella consort Collegium Polyphonia will perform at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Concerts on the Corner, Wabash Avenue Church, 307 S. Washington.
The group of eight singers is under the direction of critically acclaimed Dana Marsh, professor of music in early music/voice, chair of the Historical Performance Department, and director of the Historical Performance Institute at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.
The prestigious Indiana University Jacobs School of Music IU is world renowned for excellence of performance and artistry and has launched the career of countless performers, scholars, and music educators who have become leaders around the globe. The well-known acapella groups Straight No Chasers and Another Round, both of which have gone on to perform throughout the United States, got their starts at IU.
Concerts on the Corner is excited to bring a performance of this quality to the community and continue its mission to spread the love of God through the joy of music. All are welcome to attend the free concert. A free will offering collected during the concert will be donated to the Montgomery County Free Clinic.
