Each year, Hamilton Heights High School proudly celebrates its Summa Cum Laude graduates, students who have earned a 4.0 GPA or higher and demonstrated exceptional dedication to their academic journey. These scholars are honored at the annual Night of Excellence, a tradition that highlights not only their achievements, but also the relationships, mentorship, and support that helped them reach this milestone.

As part of this celebration, each Summa Cum Laude graduate is invited to select one staff member — past or present, K–12 — who made a meaningful impact on their life. Teachers, coaches, custodians, secretaries, and support staff are all eligible, reflecting the truth we see every day: it takes an entire school community to shape a student’s path.

This year’s honorees represent the very best of Heights – students who have excelled academically and the educators who inspired, encouraged, and believed in them along the way.

The Night of Excellence is more than an academic ceremony — it is a celebration of connection. Each pairing tells a story: of a teacher who sparked curiosity, a coach who pushed a student to believe in themselves, a staff member who offered encouragement at just the right moment. These relationships are at the heart of Hamilton Heights School Corporation, and these honorees remind us that success is never achieved alone. It grows from guidance, support, and the belief that every student has the potential to excel.
