Bethel L. Hale

Bethel L. Hale, 86, Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022 at St. Vincent Fishers.

She was born on July 30, 1935 to Lawrence and Lilly (Castle) Story Sr. in Lawrenceburg, Tenn.

For 12 years, Mrs. Hale worked as a health care assistant at Riverview Hospital. She enjoyed watching WWE Wrestling.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy A. Matherly Mundell and Bethel K. Laster; brother, Bill Story; sister, Blanche (Bud) Taylor; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sydney Hale in 1985; son, Ronald Leo Matherly; brother, Lawrence W. Story Jr.; and her grandson, Ronald Matherly.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m., on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville, with Pastor Darrell Jones officiating. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
