Noblesville Organizations Come Together To Host Action-Packed First Weekend Of June

Four Noblesville organizations are joining forces for the second year in a row to host Noblesville’s Race Weekend on June 2 and June 3.

The fun kicks off on Friday, June 2 with the eleventh annual Darlington Bed Race. The race is part of the First Friday series, powered by Duke Energy, hosted in partnership by the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville and Noblesville Parks & Rec. The Lions Club will be grilling pork chops on the Courthouse Square from 11 a.m – 7 p.m.

“We’re very excited to be part of Noblesville Main Street’s Race weekend!” said Abigail Stutesman, Director of Club Operations for the Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville. “The community’s ever-growing support of its youth is always inspiring.”

The Noblesville Main Street Duck Race, presented by the Gordon Family of Companies, and Noblesville Schools Education Foundation’s (NSEF) first-ever Amazing Miller Race will both be on June 3.

Duck Race participants can purchase one of 2,500 rubber ducks getting dumped off of the Nickel Plate Express train from Logan Street Bridge for a chance to win up to $1,000. The event, presented by the Gordon Family of Companies, will offer live music from local bands alongside festival activities, like a dunk tank full of Noblesville’s most prominent figures, from 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.

“The Duck race is a time-honored tradition in Historic Downtown Noblesville,” said Kate Baker, Executive Director of Noblesville Main Street. “Noblesville Race Weekend is all about community collaboration! We’re excited to introduce a pay-it-forward donation program with the Hamilton County Reporter, CCHA, and Johnston & Co.”

The Amazing Miller Race is a scavenger hunt where participants complete family-friendly virtual missions around Noblesville via their smartphones.
