Harold Layton Box

Harold Layton Box, 80, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2022 at his home. 

He was born on Oct. 28, 1941 to Norris and Hazel (Minchew) Box in McArthur, Ark.

For 37 years, Mr. Box worked for Delco-Remy and sold real estate at the same time; he was a hard worker all of his life. Mr. Box loved old antique cars and owned several. He loved to sing and loved gambling at casinos. Family was most important to him; he supported his grandkids athletics, never missing a game. He also traveled to visit extended family all over the country. Mr. Box served on the Noblesville City Council for 14 years.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Box; sons, Randy (Susie) Box and Ricky (Mary) Box; step-son, Brian (Barbara) Hall; grandchildren, Sara and Daniel and Kaitlyn and Kimberly; step-grandson, Andy; and his great-grandchildren, Britton, Carter and Maddox.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob Box, Curt Box and Don Box; twin brother, Howard Box; and his great-grandchild, Kayden.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street, in Noblesville.
