Margaret “Margay” Unger

Margaret “Margay” Unger, 74, Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville.
She was born on Dec. 3, 1947 to Elbert and Catherine (Beeson) Kinzer in Carmel, Ind.
Mrs. Unger was a 1965 graduate of Carmel High School. She was very crafty, making quilts, custom jewelry pictures, and basket weaving, some small enough to wear on a necklace. She loved animals. She raised Alpine dairy goats for almost 25 years and won many awards with one Best of Show. She was very fond of cats, dogs, and horses, and also enjoyed dancing. She helped raise Dale’s four children when his first wife died at a very young age.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Unger; daughter, Julie (Juan) Greene; son, Randy Devaney; step-sons, Brian Scott (Margaret) Unger and Mike (Brandy) Unger; step-daughters, Heidi Unger and Heather Unger; two grandchildren, Jessie and Tiffany; four step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Kinzer; and sisters, Pat (Selby) Haskell, Gloria (Jetty) Dausman and Connie (Herb) Wagner.
Graveside Services are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 at Crownland Cemetery, 1776 Monument Street in Noblesville. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Ginger’s Cafe, 1111 S. 10th Street, in Noblesville, following the services.
The family would like to thank all of the workers who cared for her at Riverview Hospital, Harbour Manor, and Care Hospice Services.
