Richard Lee Hammack

Richard Lee Hammack, 69, Sheridan, passed away on Dec. 25, 2021.

He was born to the late Bryon E. and Elnora (Wills) Hammack Sr. on July 19, 1952 in Noblesville.

Mr. Hammack graduated from Westfield High School, Class of 1970. He proudly served his country in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed driving a truck and seeing the country. When he got back, he would tell his family about his trips. When he wasn’t driving, he could be found doing some of his favorite things. He looked forward to camping and fishing with his family and friends, especially spending his time with his grandchildren. He liked tinkering around with small engines. He loved going to the drive-in – piling everyone in the car, picking up snacks and going to watch movies. Some of his favorite places to go were Mel’s Drive-In and ABC Drive-In.

Survivors include his loving family – his life-long partner, Marla Dee Harrod; and his son, Richard Lee (Sara) Hammack II. He was a proud grandfather to Bentley T. Knight, Kaylee C. Hammack, Cordell W. Hammack and Levi C. Hammack. He is also survived by siblings, Byron E. Hammack Jr., Connie Payne, Randy Hammack, Greg Hammack and Tim Hammack; and his uncle, Ron Hammack.
