Law Firm Expands Efforts on Education Law

Church Church Hittle and Antrim is pleased to welcome MacKenzie Watson as an associate attorney. Watson joins the firm’s Litigation and K-12 School and Education Law practice groups, bringing a strong foundation in education law, compliance, and civil litigation. CCHA Law proudly serves more than 150 public school corporations across the state of Indiana, and Watson’s experience will further strengthen the firm’s commitment to these clients.

“We are excited to welcome MacKenzie to the CCHA Law team,” said Alex Pinegar, Managing Partner at CCHA Law. “Her combined experience in education, litigation, and public service makes her a tremendous asset to both our clients and our firm.”

Prior to joining CCHA Law, Watson served as a Complaint Investigator with the Indiana Department of Education, where she investigated matters related to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, monitored compliance with corrective actions, and assisted in revising state regulations tied to special education law.

Earlier in her career, she worked as an associate attorney at an Indianapolis law firm focusing on labor and employment law, litigation, and equal employment matters. Watson’s legal background is also informed by her earlier work as a Primary Life Skills Teacher, giving her valuable, firsthand experience in the classroom.

She earned her Juris Doctor from Indiana University McKinney School of Law, where she served as Senior Executive Editor of the Indiana Law Review and was active in the Women in the Law Division. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Exceptional Needs from Purdue University.

She is admitted to practice in Indiana, the Northern and Southern District Courts of Indiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Watson currently serves as Chair of the Indiana State Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Council and volunteers as a guardian ad litem with Kids’ Voice.
