Sen. Walker Preparing for 2026 Legislative Session

Lawmakers will soon begin meeting for interim study committee hearings in order to stay up to date on topics important to Hoosiers.

Why it matters: Interim study committees give legislators the ability to research important topics ahead of the 2026 session.

This year I will serve as a member of several committees, which include:

• Economic Enhancement Board;
• Indiana Stadium and Convention Building Authority;
• Indiana White River State Park Development Commission;
• Interim Study Committee on Elections;
• Interim Study Committee on Insurance and Financial Institutions;
• Interim Study Committee on Fiscal Policy; and
• Interim Study Committee on Public Policy.

I am honored to be appointed to serve on these important boards and interim study committees. Each presents a unique opportunity to shape policy that strengthens Indiana’s economy, enhances our public assets, and ensures government remains responsive and effective. I look forward to working with my colleagues to deliver meaningful results for Hoosiers.
