Carmel Symphony Gets $100,000 Matching Gift

The Carmel Symphony Orchestra is thrilled to announce a generous $100,000 matching grant from longtime supporter and CSO Board Member, Bill Culpepper. This extraordinary gift will match all contributions made through December 31, 2025, dollar-for-dollar, and will help complete CSO’s Honor Roll Campaign of $300,000.

The Honor Roll Campaign recognizes donors whose generosity sustains the Orchestra’s mission to inspire, educate, and unite the community through the power of music. With this matching opportunity, every dollar contributed will go twice as far, amplifying the impact of each gift.

“Bill’s generosity ensures that every gift made between now and year-end is truly transformational,” said Nancy Sutton, Chair of the CSO Board of Directors. “This match provides a powerful incentive for new donors to join our Honor Roll and for current supporters to deepen their commitment. Together, we will secure the resources needed to keep world-class music thriving in Carmel.”

Culpepper, a devoted arts advocate, shared his motivation for the gift: “The Carmel Symphony Orchestra is a treasure in our community. I hope this challenge inspires others to give generously and be recognized on the Honor Roll, knowing their contributions will be doubled.”

The Honor Roll Campaign has been a centerpiece of CSO’s fundraising efforts this year, celebrating the orchestra’s supporters on social media and in e-newsletters. With this matching grant, the campaign is expected to reach its year-end goal and ensure a strong foundation for the Orchestra’s upcoming 50th anniversary season and beyond.
