SHS Raises more than $7,600 for Special Olympics

On Friday, March 6, Sheridan High School students and staff were able to participate in an unforgettable experience. Each year, SHS staff members and students lead an initiative to raise money for Special Olympics by participating in a Polar Plunge. Plunging at Eagle Creek Park, students raise money all year to be able to participate in this exciting event.

This year, SHS collectively raised $7,615 for Special Olympics of Indiana. All year, students take time to fundraise and demonstrate their passion and support for every student. Many schools across the state of Indiana participate in this challenge and dive into the cold waters. This event not only allows them to share in an exciting event with their peers but also allows them to make a positive impact on their community.

SHS students and their commitment to supporting those in need are a perfect example of the community and connection that make Sheridan Community Schools a great place to be!
