Noblesville Business Offering Free Service for TSA Employees, Families

Big Blue Swim School in Noblesville, a premium swim school dedicated to helping children build confidence and essential life skills, is supporting local TSA agents who have been impacted by recent paycheck delays. Gavin and Tara England, local residents and owners of Big Blue Swim School in Noblesville, announced that they are offering free swim lessons to affected TSA agents and their families in the greater Indianapolis area.

“As a locally owned business, not only are we passionate about being part of something bigger than ourselves, but we understand the kind of impact that a lapse in paychecks can have on the lives of our neighbors and families,” said Tara England. “Giving back to our essential airport security staff in this way creates an opportunity for them to continue helping their children learn essential life skills and maintain a sense of routine and normalcy during this time. We’re honored to be able to lend a helping hand in situations like this.”

According to local reporting, nearly 300 TSA agents work at Indianapolis International Airport, with dozens more employed at regional airports in the greater metropolitan area. While some agents are now receiving partial pay, this shutdown still impacts many airport employees who rely on their paychecks to provide for themselves and their family.

“We are incredibly proud of the Big Blue Swim School team in Noblesville for stepping up and supporting their neighbors,” said Chris DeJong, CEO of Big Blue Swim School. “Big Blue has always been about helping kids build confidence in and out of the water. Initiatives like this show how our dedication to community goes beyond that to create a welcoming and united environment for local families.”

The Englands hope that any families affected by the TSA shutdown take advantage of the free swim lessons, especially ahead of the summer months, when water safety is of the utmost importance as individuals spend more time outside, on vacation or near bodies of water.
