Judith Ann Bowen

April 14, 1940 – June 26, 2022

Judith Ann Bowen, 82, of Carmel, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Fort Wayne, IN.

She was born on April 14, 1940 to Robert and Helen (Goin) Roudebush in Noblesville, Indiana, the oldest of nine children.

Mrs. Bowen was salutatorian of the 1958 graduating class of Fishers High School. She married her high school sweetheart John William Bowen on September 22, 1961. She also graduated as salutatorian from the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in 1962. She worked as a registered nurse for Carmel Care and was a member of Cumberland Road Christian Church.

Mrs. Bowen loved to travel, especially by train to visit family. She was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed listening to the Chicago Cubs on the radio. She loved walking and playing golf with John. One of her favorite activities was going to state parks and spending time with family in God’s creation. Mrs. Bowen always wanted everyone to be sharing in the joy of every experience.

She is survived by her five children Connie (Brian) Birk, Lynn (Tony) Mafera, Scott (Renee) Bowen, Greg (Susan) Bowen and Brad (Angela) Bowen; 13 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Bowen.

Visitation is scheduled to be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with services scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers. Aaron Birk will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
